Hurricane Idalia

Hurricane Idalia slammed into Florida as a powerful Category 3 Storm on August 30, 2023 – making landfall in the Big Bend Area. This area of Florida hasn’t seen a hurricane landfall in some time, which made Idalia much more of a threat to the area’s homes and local infrastructure than expected.
